Anyway, there is a place not far from me where homeless people sometimes frequent. I thought about giving them a bookmark as one day I saw someone and I approached them to give them one of my cards from my blog. I asked them if they were a Christian first and they said yes and I got down and asked them to listen to this song called Alexander O’Neal Yoke of my back. He liked it. It was about freeing bondages (Galatians 5:1). We prayed the Lord’s prayer together and read this out from my own phone. He knew quite a bit of it still from school. I was exhilarated after that. I got the bookmarks after this similar to this one I linked to from Amazon. I was so motivated to do this and reaching out to Terry after singing get the Yoke of my back and just the year before I couldn’t sing or dance and was on the way to dying myself, I was revived by God’s formidable spirit

I went away later and met a few others who were in similar conditions. I later met a good man called Roger who was in 60s and had lost his wife to cancer and had fought in the Falklands war and had a difficult life after his wife departed life he ended up homeless. He also suffered from PTSD after the war as well. The death of a partner was the tale another homeless person spoke of as well. I asked Roger though if he was a Christian and he said yes, I asked him do you know the Lord’s Prayer and he replied again yes.
I said let us take hands and pray it together are you ok with this and we proceeded. There were mistakes in memory with the prayer with both of us praying-I went to my phone and we said the prayer corrected. I asked him to pray for me after that and I said that I that would pray for him in the future. I reminded him that the good God does listen to prayers and hoped to be may be in a chain that could bring some change to their lives. Working on that could lead to them attending a church right at the furthest end.
I ordered some bookmark prayers for my mum to give them out freely also. It is for her salvation and I do mine freely. It is so beautiful for a woman in later life to do these things. It is easier to get a bookmark of prayer than carry a Bible and some may not have a phone.
Please continue to pray for Terry and Richard in your prayers as well please. Jesus asked us to give where we can to charity and give donations/alms also (Luke 12:33). He didn't ask us to be destitute or homeless but to live modestly in the spirit.
I have come across people like Trudy Makepeace who managed to break her bondages in life of addictions and is a beacon in the Church. Jesus walked with her in her states of distress for decades and she is now a shining light and free in Christ and in the Spirit. You can find her link to a short testimony of hers live from my links. It moves me every time. Galatians speak about bondages being broken. Indeed some bondages will and can be broken in life and some people will walk their path to death with the grace of God. I have given bookmark prayers to old peoples care home those who might struggle to use a computer to say a prayer and may not have a Bible. I left them at the reception for staff to give out to those who wanted one.
