I have experienced a spiritual attack as a Christian and I can say that the Gifts of the Holy Spirit some if intended by God can support some Christians with dealing with spiritual attacks to as well. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit, one of its roles is that it can provide protection. I was blessed with a gift at 17 by God and I can tell you with this most recent attack I had I discovered it was so funny as well.
The soundtrack it launches in an attack is so funny. It has stuff like your a star in Heaven and arrows can be launched. I was so surprised when I heard it, but now it makes me laugh as the attack is over. I didn't think it was humble enough, but now it cracks me up. I thought it was God in Heaven and I thanked him for being such a showman and it was the gifts itself. Still the same as always. The gift of discernment which is one of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit was to active during this period, whether it continues only God will know on that, but discernment was revealatory as well and could be by using Holy Water.
Spiritual gifts are found in 1 Corinthians 12.
The way you can be blessed with a gift is to be baptised or receive the laying of hands as an adult and be committed to the faith.
Spiritual attacks can happen to any Christian whether a minister or lay person in the church, it is not their fault. It does not discriminate and you have to pray for deliverance/protection from God from it and which the Holy Spirit can intercede on. The Holy Spirit will protect us so that we will persevere to the end. So don't feel bad if you have a spiritual attack. The fact that you were selected for the spiritual attack in fact shows that you are considered to be a Christian as well.
I would start with reading the Our Father in Matthew 6 and like Jesus said say- Get thee Hence Satan (Matthew 4:10) and he also said come out to the demon (Matthew 8:16) and Jesus said-Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit (Mark 4 :8). I would recommend Psalm 51 for cleansing and Psalm 80 for urgent redemption and Psalm 91 to fight spiritual warfare. There is also Psalm 24 for people dealing with Spiritual gifts. Perhaps can also contact a church minister.
In the New Testament Paul wrote this-Ephesians 6:12- "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The protective warfare part of the gifts can only be launched and tactics approved by the indwelling Holy Spirit used to fight it. Me myself I never even knew where they were in the body and never knew they existed until they were used with the gift I was given in my teens and it was activated later in my life the tactics deployed when I had quite an attack.
Obtaining some Holy water at church might help, you often can get these at Catholic Church's usually and you can take a small bottle and fill it. Also, asking for a blessing to may be helpful if you feel the body has been left unclean. The Holy Eucharist and blood of Christ will help to and that which can be received in many church's.
You can get through it and hold onto to your faith-God is not sleeping and you will be ok.
Let's draw courage as well from Jesus's words of courage to us that Satan's plan will never work for his Church-that is for the members and the church itself (Mat 16:18).
