Peter and Paul are models of conversion

Peter and Paul are models of conversion. Paul is a model of conversion that is instant. In one single moment, he changed his whole life and discovered Jesus.

Peter, on the other hand, is a model of conversion that is ongoing. not only once but on several occasions. And therefore, we can never claim that it's too late for us to be converted. And conversion is not just because we are sinners. Conversion is also a process for which we become from good to better. So there is always that space in us of becoming the best expression of who we are as God tried to reshape our lives and as we try to shape our lives according to the life of Jesus.

Secondly, sisters and brothers, both are great communicators. They're able to communicate the message of the gospel in different ways. But it's not only in the eloquence of language that Peter and Paul shared the good news to others.

The most and the best way that they have shown and communicated to us is both had offered their lives for the gospel for God. Both experience persecution until the end martyrdom.

So it's the laying of their lives for God that communicated to us not only the goodness but also the beauty of fidelity to God. They were not at all times in agreement. In fact, on several occasions, they had different stance, different positions.

And yet, despite diversity of opinion, despite differences, they remain united in Christ. And

Dialogue is always the way to understanding. And so, sisters and brothers, Peter and Paul exemplified to us how to concretely live the gospel by way of communion, by way of communication, and by way of conversion.

May the good Lord through the intercession of these two men pillars of our faith inspire us to do the same.
