Hi everyone, memories of my childhood and early youth give me pleasure at times. I am a child of the 70s and I liked to watch Alex Mack and Out of this World in the 90s as a teenager and in my 20s. I was watching these tv series for fun-I was a Christian at that time. By that time I was also given one of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit that is mentioned in the Bible. God being so good to me, gave me one of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit for protective purposes in my life-which was the Gift of Prophecy-mainly the Gift of Vision. I went on the hunt at 16 as a Christian hoping for a miracle, but God gave me something for free in that place even more sensory special and not purchasable when I commited to him further. I served in the ministry in the church briefly with these gifts which were verified. Disney over to you- God’s power can do better-why not a movie or series on God and his majestic power and supernatural strength for this generation. Jesus appeared to be sensory to touch and knew that someone for example had touched his clothes when they obtained healing from him. Being discerning in the spirit I think allowed Jesus being able to hear the plans of evil/the Devil when they were near him and God recently gifted me this recent spiritual ability and gift as well-this is the Gift of Discerning spirits which can be found in the Book of Corinthians in the Bible.
In the Catholic tradition Jesus is also pictured with angelic beings around him on earth unseen to the unknowing eye. He was God on earth in a mortal body and was fully divine. There is a constant stream of energy in Heaven called the Divine Essence which he could draw on at any time if he wanted to. We to know this as the Holy Spirit. Some of Jesus' miracles like healing being fullly divine he could do on the spot, whilst his disciples needed to do praying and fasting to remove malevolent spirits.
I was always a sensory kid and had experiences under 10 that seemed supernatural with my brother. At 17 I mentioned that I was given the gift of the Holy Spirit-Prophecy-vision. I never heard really of a story of someone like me-I read one book of a slightly similar tale at 17 and instantly knew it was true when I picked it up from the library and tried to remember the name later of the book in life but never could. The woman who wrote the book wrote that she had a light manifestation in her home of the Holy Spirit who led to her having a miracle-and it seemed similar to mine and I was glad to read their account at just 17, two of a kind.
I liked to watch these supernatural sitcoms and dramas, knowing they was not the real thing and having giving prophecy in God’s church-knew the seriousness of the role. It was fun to watch them though and feel not an outsider and out of place and see more people who were a bit more supernatural like me, due to my Father’s grace of the Holy Spirit alone though in my case. I have had interactions with the Holy Spirit who I have trusted throughout my life. I leave my life in the capable hands of my Father and have never asked him for anything spiritual and wouldn’t myself, he has given me enough myself without asking, more than I could have imagined and everyday I start again in grace and following him. All of my Father's gifts are equal to me and suitable for the person given to them for his purposes.
I know a life before and after the administration of the Holy Spirit’s Gifts and the glimmer to another world and how my worldview slightly changed to a better one. I wonder if this is the invisible world versus visible that the Bible speaks of in the Book of Corinthians. God has shown me his invisible world and I have shared that with you on this blog. As an autistic spectrum kid who was a Christian it was a delight. I could ask for no more.
