This is the testimony below of a young Christian who works and is in their late teens.
What made me want to become a Christian? God was always in my life obviously because of my parents as they encouraged me and took me to church with them and stuff like that. So I already had like a foundation of who God is, but I didn't really know. But as I grew older, I kind of took it on my own form and went out for my own self. started going to church like by myself and stuff and started to really invest and try and gain knowledge about the Lord and one day it just turned to me that I just wanted to give my life to Jesus and pretty much after that I ended up getting baptised which was an amazing feeling. I felt so refreshed, clean, everything wiped away. I just felt I've never felt a feeling like that ever before.
And for challenges, I'll definitely say the challenges I faced. As an athlete, there's always times that you think or always moments that you would want it to go a certain way, but it doesn't go that way. And I think as a Christian, we're always praying about things going a certain way and they don't go that way. I think it's learning to just bounce back and keep faith in God and that God's timing is always the right timing.
So, I think that's a big thing for me what I like about being a Christian is just the fact that I always feel loved by God and I know how much God loves me and values me and I know I got someone in my life who will never stop loving me no matter what. also I just I like being about Christian. I enjoy reading my Bible, gaining knowledge about things in the Bible and trying to implement it into my life. I just like the whole idea of being a Christian. Just trying to as I as I age and as I read the Bible, just trying to become a better person to be honest.
